Sunrise in The King Valley, a gorgeous start to our two day training camp and team shoot for Maap's new road team #MaapBasso. It was Friday, August 26th, and we rose early to the rich smell of Maker's finest brews as the boys armed the Rocket and prepped for the day ahead. The new bikes kept secret from the Melbourne 'grammers until now gleamed in the warm morning light, Dura Ace never looked so good and the C50 tubs were ready to roll. We had enjoyed a nice ride yesterday on the transfer day through the rolling hills of the wine region countryside, so I felt fresh and ready to shoot the energy of the new crew. Speed, grit, tension and power, that's what I was after, with some good times and high fives thrown in for good measure. This is a gentlemen's team after all. Hosted by Soigneur, the team got the full pro treatment that everyone deserves, complete with home made rice cakes and a Shimano rolling service course. Just an average ride, right? Shit, we had to throw in a little individual TT to keep them honest.
